As our trip to Alaska is off we put our SS-1251 on Craig's list last nite . This morning We had an E-mail from a guy in Mexico saying to get it ready to ship and he said there was purchase order enclosed . I never found the purchase order . I believe he is a Nigerian prince , he would not lie , would he ?

I always tell them I'm actually selling it for my brother...the Chief of Police and give them the real C.O.P.'s email address. I've had them write back and call me names ???

I have mine on CL as well and when I get responses like you allude I know it is a scam.

I put in my ad the following words:
"Please reply with "CAMPER" (plus your favorite football team in the subject line to eliminate BOTs and SPAM.) "

If I do not see the above in the subject line (or some will include it in the body text of the reply) then I ignore it totally. So far all inquiries have been serious potential buyers.
