Ram Megacab and pass through window?

I am considering getting a Ram Megacab and a new TC. Is having a pass through window useful? Are they large enough for a child to go back and forth while camping? As the Megacab rear seat can be folded flat and made into a bed, I was wondering if this would make additional sleeping area. Or if this additional storage area would be accessible from withing the TC while camping. I have two kids (4 and 8) and am trying to figure out how a TC might work for us.
