Just returned from a 1mo. trip to the NW.We hit a bump and a Pyrex dish jumped out of the overhead cabinet and went thru my front slider.I don't need a slide window and just want to replace it with a 1 peice. Can someone tell me the process and where I might find one.Would install plexie glass as I don't even look thru it, it's just there. It's a 95 Lance Squire lite, 8'6". Is there a site with step thru step instructions? Pictures really help. Oh, and a great trip otherwise. Was 61 just about everyday on the coast and we've come home to 109. Was 117 while we were gone, sorry we missed that, lol.

Info for others that might want to replace a window, or upgrade them:

My front slider leaked all the time when driving in heavy rain (water forces it's way in around the sliding portion.)

I ended up replacing that window and a few others with new, double pane windows from www.motionwindows.com/

Tried last night but the paper on the butyl tape was not wanting to pull off due to the heat. Brought it inside with the AC and let it cool overnight. This AM it pulled right off, popped the window in,screwed it and DONE!!! Lesson learned, cool tape better than hot to remove paper. Now setting it might be better when the butyl is warm so it spreads better.Yes, I'm a early riser, gotta be if you want to get anything done when it's 110 outside. Then you take a seista after lunch!!!

Got a peice of 1/4 plexi and replaced the center window where the 2 sliders were, got a roll of butyl tape for re-install,now when it's cooler than the present 108 I'll put it back in. Thanks to all for your suggestions.

I replaced ours with the non-slider a few years ago. I called Northstar and they sent out a fixed front window. It came complete with framing with a screw pattern same as the original. I don't remember cost but think around $50. Anyway, just remove existing screws, pry window loose, scrape old caulk off, put on new caulk and screw in new window. I would think Lance could do the same thing.

+1 on the local glass shop. The one here fixes glass cheaper than I can myself.

Doing as you state was my first thought... you will have to asses the exact situation.

It was the non slide side. So your saying I can just take out the whole frame and have a solid peice cut to fit? The vertical bars just pop out or do I need to buy a whole window frame and glass if I want a non slide? Thanks guys for your input.

Ditto to what Jim said, but I will add this:

...perhaps make a template yourself out of chipboard or similar (including any radius corners) to insure it fits and use it for the dimension take-off instead of just taking a tape measure and giving those to the glass cutter. I did this method for on of my overhead windows on a past camper and it was perfect fit.
