Replacement roof caps for 2006 Outfitter Caribou 6.5

Hi all,

We just bought a used 2006 Outftter Caribou 6.5 pop-up and the roof corner caps are in need of replacement. The factory doesn’t make them anymore, looking for aftermarket alternatives?

Also to put more storage on the roof what would I add? I have a set of Yakima landing pads from an old Jeep, would those work with the right hardware???

The previous owner had installed a TV antenna setup on the roof which I’d like to remove, how do I go about resealing the roof afterwards?

Thanks in advance!
  • Your camper is ~17 years old. Are the roof corners the only problem, or are they the only parts you need to procure? From your question, I suspect there is more wrong with the roof that needs to be fixed.

I don't know how exactly the older Outfitter roofs looked like ... But it might be a possibility to contact Northstar or BundutecUSA for parts infornation, they still make multi-piece roofs. Maybe they can help.

Or get a quote from Outfitter for a new single-piece fiberglass roof.
  • Hey joerg68, the front roof caps are damaged and have been replaced / repaired with canvas tape of some variety. We don't seem to have any other roof leaks so I'm hoping a full roof replacement is needed. But we're getting it in to the shop to get a once over; hopefully they can give us the full rundown on what's needed.
  • We’ll be careful sinkin too much $ into it. Real easy to get upside down on an old camper if you’re not diy.
  • If Outfitter can not/will not help, Hallmark may be another place you could try. They are "family" (or, used to be way back when).
