returnee needs advice

I have been away from truck campers for about three years, I have found the truck it is a 2007 G M C dually duramax 4x4 leather seats it has every thing I thought I was missing , seems the 5.9 dodge dually 4x4 with a six speed manual is suppose to be the best that is the type I sold before coming back to big trucks. Now my dilemma a bigfoot 2500 25C10.6E or a Northern lite 10-2EX CD SE however I do like a dry bath one of many questions I have which of these has the best vented furnace heating system and now for the things I do not know about either this where I hope you all come in and give me the pro's and con's of each unit you may own thanks this will be final run The leather seats in the truck I will cover the back seat with moving pads my best friend is a basset hound it is easier to vacum dog hair off leather this will be my last R V and i am wanting to learn the good and bad about these units to make the best decision Thanks to everyone I love traveling and camping Fall, Winter, Spring, And summer I can hardly wait to pick the best camper and set out as soon as I get it by the way my basset hound is named Wrinkles he is 12 and as ready to roll as I am

    I will not buy a Bigfoot, though I would like to, until they make the bed size 60 by 80. A short bed is just too difficult for a taller person.

    Such a shame Bigfoot does not get it, but they have been putting these small beds into everything they make.

    I like the steps on the NL too. But the dry bath option is a bit of a compromise. It almost makes the sink unusable as it's in the shower stall.
    I like bathroom storage too.

    A dream dinette is the only option. The post thing is obsolete in the Bigfoot.

    And one other slightly quirky thing. I like the way the NL back of the dinette is slightly above the bed mattress. I have always thought it keeps it less messy.

    I also like double sinks, but that is a minor compared to the dinette and bed.

    And one more, I like the full width available at the top of the bed versus the BF upright cupboards there.

    Welcome back to tcing!
    Boils down almost 100% to preference on layout and obvious features as both are well constructed and pretty much on par with each other.
    Specific stuff, for regular use, I'd go dry bath.
    Fridge, all are 3 way fridges I'd presume. Prolly same mfg. Get the biggest fridge option available.
    Tanks? If you're planning on no hookups (presume that's why your getting a TC), get the biggest tanks you can.
    AC? Try to get the lowest amp draw one you can. Makes it easier to run off a 2kw generator. Heat?, idk how worth of them are setup.
    Room for 6v batteries or room to add to battery bank is a big plus.
    Built in generator? Can be real handy. But I'd prefer a little Honda or Yamaha. More versatile, and I don't like "sitting on my generator" while it's running.
    Storage is key for long term camping. Consider which model and the best storage options for your intended use.

    That's what I'd be looking for for features.

    Oh, and furniture, if it was just me or 2 of us, if want to figure out how to have a decent couch or recliners and a table. Pretty much a no go without modifications or buying a big slide out model that has those options. So I'd probably have a slide out model for that alone.

    Personally I think it comes down to FLOOR PLAN. Try actually sitting on each "throne" and imagine doing your business. Is there enough room? Does the seat to floor height work for you?

    the BF has " far " Better insulation ,real glass double pane windows (quieter, slide ,sideways to open ).and a 30000 btu ducted furnace

    I think the bigfoot 10.4 is what I would pick. It has a layout that lets light in on three walls. I've only seen in one that belonged to Gointhisaway and really liked it. I've looked at several 10-2s and really like them also.

    The big drawback for the 10.4, 10.6, or 10-2 is that many many people like them a lot better than I do, as in they are too expensive. I'll stick to my Arctic Fox for now.
