Yah but who knows what chemistry those were. There are literally dozens of battery chemistries used in 2170’s.

Not sure. It’s hard to find info on them. LG has had some issues with theirs.

I don’t know. But I think the Kona might be. Not sure. It is a 2170 format but no idea on the chemistry. The 2170 is kind of old school but is well supported and proven tech. The non plaid model S and model X will be using 2170’s for at least a couple more years. Rivian is a new company so going with a proven format might be the safe and wise bet. Hope it works out for them.
