Running your propane Refrigerators while traveling?

Probably 95% of RVers do.

been doing it for forty years. No fires.

No more danger than stationary. Just run it.

We don't want the food to spoil or the ice to melt. It's a tiny flame. I'd stay away from the people who say it's dangerous.

Please explain your source that said it was dangerous. I’ve been doing it for years.

It's similar to the question about leaving the propane on while traveling. I used to be worried about that but in many years of reading these posts I have yet to read about a fire started by leaving the propane on.

Someone will probably chime in and echo what you heard about danger. But as stated, I think the great majority of us do it. And I also have never seen anyone post a link to a legitimate event linked to a fire or explosion from doing so.

I'm FINALLY out of this debate! Hallalujah!! I now have a a household refrigerator, all electric.

But, 20 years of propane refers, always ran with them on. Never a single problem or issue.

I’ve heard they say lots of stuff. RVing since 1978 and always with fridge running on propane. Not unsafe.
