If climbing in and out of truck camper is a problem with the camper on the truck it maybe time to look for a class C camper. On the other hand you could do a truck camper on 4500 or 5500 chassis cab and add a custom hydraulic lift on the back rather than climbing the stairs into camper. While that would work when the camper is on not sure about when it’s off.
