Has anyone come across a modification for a self closing entry door? I have six children and not a single one closes the door after themselves. I'd like to try to avoid contracting malaria from the mosquito infiltration into the TT.I cant find any hardware at the box stores that would help. (self closing hinges, screen door closer, springs, etc.)Thanks.

An old time screendoor spring might be appropriate.

I hear ya but if that can learn how to close the door now when will they learn?
Teaching them the importance of closing the door won't require a lecture. A few louder words once or twice will resolve the issue in short order.
It will take a lot less effort for me to teach them than it will for me to purchase and install a contraption.
Lastly prefer the stern talk approach simply because they need to learn a few things and it doesn't require a cash transaction or a trip to the store.
I guess I could avoid the teaching moment and let them figure out where all the flies are coming from....

It works REALLY well. The very moment it closes behind you it may not totally "seal". But after a few seconds it settles and closes up nicely. It's not a perfect solution, I imagine there's a chance some smaller insects could get through. We haven't had any more bug issues with it than with the regular screen door. One of the plastic magnet containers came apart and could have been an issue, but it snapped right back together, no problem. I also installed small ribbon and hooks on each side of the doorway so I could tie it open (similar to curtains in a window). It's definitely been a popular upgrade on our trailer.

After a couple of conversations that grew louder in tone my kids and their friends all got the idea.
No spring required.

I like that spring idea. I've converted my screen door pretty much to a full time storm door by adding clear panels to it. They are still removable, but since I also added a Magic Mesh, I've never needed to. This system has worked very well for us.

hahaha... love it. I once had 6 small children that did not close the RV door. If I had a dime for each time I screamed "shut the damn door" I would be able to buy a new RV. LOL
