Shurflo 5.7 Pump

I have recently installed the camco hot water bypass and the suction with 3 way valve for the rv antifreeze. I have double checked every thing and every thing is installed correct, and no leaks but I am un able to get any pressure out of my pump. I have taken the strainer off and cleaned the in and out ports and no luck, what are the odds my watwr pumps bad and can't get enough pressure to get passed the back flow valve? If so what pump would yall recommend?
  • Yep back flow is installed correct, there's only one way to inatall it. I was thinking my pumps not got enough pressure to get passed the back flow. You can open the valve outside and watwr blows out and the pump will run. When it runs inside it will run good for a few seconds then ot dies off and no more watwr comes out for a couple minutes then the pump will cycle and run a spell.
  • Is the pump back flow installed backwards?

Turn on the pump, it is mostly silent, and you might not hear it. Then shut it off, and loosen the output, so that any water it moved will squirt out. If the water squirts out, then the pump is still working, and making pressure, but it is not able to get past the valve.

    Good luck,

    Fred.
