Sleeping bags vs. sheets & blankets

Is anyone using sleeping bags rather than sheets and blankets in the tent ends of your HTT? Putting sheets on the beds and keeping them tucked in has been a hassle. I'm thinking about getting everyone (3 of us) a sleeping bag and either lay them out flat with a sheet on top during warm weather and then use them conventionally during cooler weather. I'm open to thoughts and ideas!

We use sleeping bags as comforters and have them in duvet covers with fitted sheets on bottom. Sleeping bags get aired on clothesline at home, sheets and duvet covers washed after a few weekends or as needed.

… we use a Travasak, which is similar to the RV Super Bag.

I don't believe Travasak is made any longer, but RV Super Bag is the same idea. It has sheets secured in the sleeping bag with velcro. One side of the sleeping bag is heavier for winter, and the other side is lighter for summer. When the weather changes, just flip it over for more appropriate bedding. We love our Travasak, and I'm glad I found RV Super Bag, because they make replacement sheets for Travasak.

We bought the RV Super Bag after Travasak stopped production during the recession, and it works well, although rather pricey. According to posts in recent threads, Travasak is now available through Camping World, but I'm not sure if the same folks are producing it or CW just bought the name.

We use a fitted sheet on the mattress, with a single sheet and a comforter on top. We just enjoy sheets! The trick is to fold the bed fast and the sheets and comforter stay in place, when setting up you just need to tuck in the ends of the sheet and comforter.

We simply sleep better under a comforter than being bound up in sleeping bags.
If you're hot, swing out a leg or two; if it's cold, we cozy under.
If we're compelled to wash the fitted sheet when we get home, no biggie.
Washing two Sleeping bags? a $12 day waiting for a giant machines and driers in a laundromat - no thanks! Been there, done that.

We use sleeping bags (two xl sleeping bags for my DH and I). We do put a fitted sheet on top of the mattress, then then memory foam, then our sleeping bags....

We use a two person sleeping bag that came with sheets. They attach to the bag with velcro, so they stay in place. Easy to pull them out and run them through the wash, so we have clean, fresh bedding for every trip. We love them.

we use sleeping bags. Tried the sheet thing and it don't work. We have a Coleman Queen sized bag. DW is always cold, usually sleeps in sweats, hoodie with hood up and socks. I sleep in shorts no matter what the weather. When we camp with electricity and the temps will be dropping she'll bring her heated throw and keep that on her side. Both my sons are boy scouts so it's sleeping bags - always!

The kids still use sleeping bags, but I'd much rather use sheets and comforters as it's more comfortable and saves room. A trick my wife and I do is we don't snap the tent portion down and I go outside and help make the bed from there while she stays inside. Works great and saves a lot of time.

A quality down sleeping bag in rectangular shape is machine washable, the best insulating material on earth, "adjusts to the sleeper", and can last a lifetime with minimal care, making it cheaper than a synthetic bag over time.

Sleeping bags for us.
Singles for the kids with a sheet underneath to keep their toys contained, and a queen size sleeping bag for us.
When it's warm, I just use the 1 leg/1 arm air conditioner.

Now with the hard side, the kids still use their sleeping bags in the bunks, but we have converted to sheets and comforters since the comforter was included in the décor.

We have a 3-bunk camper and each has a 2" foam topper, quilted mattress pad and crisp cotton fitted sheet. When the weather is hot each person brings a blanket of choice but for fall/winter I purchased comforters for each to keep us warmer. We tent camped often using sleeping bags/cots and I'm DONE with them and it doesn't bother me a bit to make a bed (or 3.)

I always put a sheet on to protect the mattress, but we do both. I've got sleeping bags, but everyone brings a comforter and uses it like a sleeping bag.
We do have pillows that live in the htt, for which I bring fresh pillow cases.

We put sheets inside our sleeping bags with the bottom sewed across and change them every week. The only problem we have with the bags is when the weather is in between cold and hot to where the bag is too heavy but without the bag it is too cold. So now we have an additional blanket to use and fold the bag top out of the way.
