Sleeping in cabover when TC is on the ground.

Do you honestly think it is a problem? If it could potentially tip, don't you think OSHA or a similar gov'ment agency would require a warning sign or sticker of some sort. No sticker? Then obviously no problem. There's way too much weight on the rear side of the front jacks to be able to tip it forward.

this is me this weekend,my wife is using the truck to bring her horse to the show grounds for today only. I do it all the time

I always unload my truck-camper when we get to campgrounds, and I've never had a problem.

I worried too when we got our TC, but don't even think about it now. We use wobbl-stopprs by Torklift to increase the stability.

No more sway, just comfy cozy. Relax and get a good night's sleep.

We have spent close on 12 months sleeping in ours while some Reno work is being done. No problems at all. Even less when the black tank is full. You would both have to be too big to get up into bed to make it tip over. This has been worked out by some very clever people, they all say "If the legs are on good solid ground and the supports etc. are in good condition, then it won't tip over". so as the kids say "chillax"

I have done it many times, never an issue.

I had my doubts too. Even tried sleeping standing up. Took about an hour for hubby to convince me to crawl up into bed.

Fresh water...grey tank...black tank... fridge.... all out weigh two people in a cab over. He told me if I was still concerned to just put my purse by the back door...that would keep it from tipping forward for sure.... (Naw, he didn't say anything about my purse. I thought of that on my own.)

I finally, gingerly crawled up into bed but made sure he stayed on his side. The fridge is on my side and I wasn't sure about tipping sideways.

So the very next day... he bought some chains and criss-crossed them between the legs and tightened them with a turn buckle thingy. He assured me that there was no way the TC could tip forward, sideways or go for a "walk" in the wind. Slept in it that way for about four months straight. No issues.

When off your truck, the front jack legs become the pivot point for the center of gravity. It would take close to 3,000 lbs in the cab over to cause most TCs to tip forward, lifting the large cabin part off the ground.
Just not a problem. I suspect the front cab over part would break off before it tipped if I put enough weight in it to do that.
