Look for a ground wire. When I had our Sun line TT, the ground wire came off and the slide wouldn't work. Also, check for corroded terminals at the battery. I've also experienced that problem....new spades were the fix along with trimming off the old copper and exposing some new copper for crimping the spade to the wires.
