Slide Seal Repair/Replacement NEeded

TT is a 2019 Cherokee Alpha Wolf 26DBH-L

Last trip, during a storm, I noticed some water puddling on the floor where the front edge of the slideout meets the body/floor of the TT. When the rain stopped I went out to check the seal along the side of the slideout opening and it looks like it's cracked from the bottom to about 4" up. Doesn't seem like this would be causing the leak, but I can't find a failure anywhere else.

I should have taken a picture. I think it's called a wiper seal. Does this seem like it would be causing the issue? Any thoughts on where to figure out the part number I need to replace it? Is replacing a wiper seal fairly easy?

I'm also going to post this on the Forest River forum.
  • The likely culprit is the seal on top did not flip allowing water to seep underneath.
I keep on hand a 10ft telescoping latter to inspect and sweep off debris.
Something else that should be a part of regular maintenance is treating the seals with 303 or silicone as they will last MUCH longer and helps repel water.
