The truck pulls it ok, but it's a bit more trailer than I think the truck is best suited for. We are on our first trip to the Straits and some of the hills on 75 were a bit of a struggle. We looked at 32BHDS as well, but I knew our truck wouldn't ever pull that trailer. Very nice floorplan though, especially with the outdoor kitchen and double entry to the master bedroom, something my wife liked much better. But we're happy with the 28BHBE, especially after all we dealt with in our Solaire going over.

We looked at a 29QBS, which was a closer match to the Palomino we had, but we liked the larger bathroom of the 28BHBE, and I have a 15 old son who is already 6' and we were afraid he'd outgrow one of the bunks in the 29QBS. So the BHBE made sense for us. I do wish the queen bed was a tad longer, but I'm learning to deal with it. Jayco makes a great trailer for sure!

Just to button up this thread and story, we are out on our first trip with a new, 2016 Jayco 28BHBE, and are so thankful for the way things played out. We ended up with a nicer trailer honestly and while we lost a lot of the season, we'll have this new TT for many years to enjoy as a family.

And I had a concrete slab poured next to our home for parking the new unit, complete with tie downs. :-) I'm planning to secure the axles on the up wind side, to ensure this doesn't happen again!

Yikes, makes you want to make sure you park nose on onto the wind.

We were camping at Cheney Reservoir west of Wichita this past Easter weekend and experienced a wind storm while in the camper. The next day we found a very large tree had come within a foot of my truck. There was another tree a few camp sites over that can be seen at the bottom of the 2nd picture. We were on the south end of the lake. At the north end of the lake a camper had been flipped over onto it's roof.

Didn't realize your old trailer was 7 feet wide. The 8 footer should be harder to blow over. Glad it all worked out OK.
