Stable Lift for dually trucks

I figured I would start a new topic for anyone who might have questions about how a stable Lift works on a dually.

I agree with you on this being its own thread.

I still haven't found my info on the maximum allowable width. I think it is 102" plus 6" for tie downs. That would be a total of 108". Take this with a grain of salt till I verify.

If gussets being referred to as the triangular supports, then yes. One on each end. I was going to tag these pics on the end of the original post, but I thought as a moderator you would see the pics/post faster as a new one. Hope they help.

I ask you on another thread if you would post photos of the mounting under the side wings of your TC. I am going to modify my SRW lift to fit my DRW truck. I am exploring different methods and materials. The tendency is to over build. Thanks for posting the photos.

It is a little difficult to see with the white paint, but is there only two gussets from the tubing to the plate?

I will have to find my notes on the legal width in California. I do recall there is a width plus tiedowns. Due to the TC being cargo and the lift also serves to tie it down, you can go the maximum.

WOW. SORRY. I actually went out and measured. I am only 8.6 or 104 inches wide. Oh and that is inclusive of the motors. They don't stick out any further than the Lift.

I was going to go a little wider for comfort sake. I wish I would have, but at 106, after a few times putting her in in my driveway... I have pretty much calculated where the truck needs to be to get it on in one back up without wiping out the fenders. LOL. At least so far so good.

Yes your correct however since this system actually includes the tie down mechanism, it is legal and excluded as overwide. I checked the laws in my state.

My calculation is
8' between the fenders
add 1" clearance on each side =2"
5" (?) for each motor makes it 9' wide????
