- LynnandCarolExplorerWe had the same question and after a little research herein and via google, we decided to just leave them as is. Actually further supporting the slide could do more harm than good due to the settling of the TT/Stabilizers. There maybe others with a different opinion (of course), but this was the conclusion of our research.
- We_Cant_WaitExplorerDon not put supports under your slides. What will happen is that your trl will settle over time and the slide will not if they are supported. You'll end up pushing the slides out of position if you put supports under them causing leaks and other issues.

MFG. doesn't provide or recommend slide supports.....for a good reason
Just because something is for sale via aftermarket does not mean it is needed. - samsontdogExplorerThere is a guy down the street that has a new 40 ft 5th w with three slides. He has supports under all three. I tried talking to the guy and he said "the dealer
said I needed to support slides" He said "jacks are not sinking in the sand" Yeah.right What ever - jaycocreekExplorer III use the stabilizers on the slide when my two grown boys come and sleep on the dinette. 450 pounds bouncing around needs support. I only snug them up and make sure the four corner jacks are tight... Once gone, I take them off..
Never had an issue. - skipncharExplorerIF your slides need to be stabilized, get them repaired. EVEN if jacks don't sink, putting props under slide rooms when you're not around is dangerous. A tire going flat can cause serious damage to the slide room as NONE of them are designed to carry the weight of the trailer on their mechanism.
- jaycocreekExplorer III keep hearing if you get a flat the trailer will sink and ruin the slide if you have stabilizers on it... Why won't the corner jacks keep the trailer where it was?
Four corner jacks rated at 6500lbs each is very capable of holding the trailer up if you get a flat. I can screw mine up to where the tongue jack isn't touching and there not even close to there weight limit although I don't purposely do that. - WiscampsinExplorer
