YES, especially Marathons
You have an axe to grind with Goodyear Marathons for some reason and that is your issue. It is not right of you to paint an entire line of Quality tires with the brush of your own neglect or other mishap.
My Goodyear Marathons were on this 2004 trailer when I bought it and had I am guessing some thousands of miles before me.
My Goodyear Marathons were made in the 48th week of 2005.
I have pulled them more than 12000 miles THIS YEAR and they just completed 3 months and 3400 miles in the Baja on All kinds of roads including dirt, very rough rocky roads and off-roading. And I am not talking about just pulling off the road here I am talking MANY miles of those conditions.
Now me and my Marathons are well on our way to Alaska and I expect no problems out of them.
You cannot offer one shred of credible, independent evidence to support your view. Yet every time this subject comes up you rush to make the same derogatory comments...without foundation. Your only goal being to scare people away from the Marathon apparently to hurt Goodyear to satisfy some grudge you have.
I would urge the OP to buy a set of Marathons. Or any other name brand ST tire. and dont listen to those who are nothing more than naysayers with nothing positive to add.
