I posted this in trailers but it was suggested I try here. Okay my current setup is a 35 ft 5th wheel toy hauler. Behind a 2011 drw Ram. 6.7 diesel Long bed. Was planning on trading in toy hauler for a truck camper. We want to have the jeep and an RV and I am not a fan of triple tow. Now planning 2017 road trip we want to have our motorcycles and Jeep with us.Plan was to get between a 10-11 foot camper with one slide, then put jeep and bikes bikes on a car hauler. Bikes are a Harley low rider s and a sportster. So about 1100 pounds together. I current have a 16 foot car hauler but I don't think I can get both bikes on there with the jeep safely, so I was thinking about selling it and getting a 20 foot open hauler. I was planing on putting both bikes on the front of the trailer and jeep behind them. Trailer will probably be two 3500 pound axles. My truck weights are as follows assuming I have 4:10sPayload 4720Max trailer. 21,000Gcvw: 29000I am aware I need a special hitch to extend past the camper, but wanted to ask if my plan sounds correct. What do you all think? It's a lot of moving parts I know. Thanks for your help.

11 foot camper will require long towing stinger, what will limit trailer tonque weight, while 1100 lb of bikes on trailer front will be hard to handle. Just starting point, but I think you should not go longer than 10' camper

I towed a 20' enclosed trailer behind my SuperHitch equipped F250, but the camper only required a 28" SuperTruss extension. I was concerned with using an overly long extension on that truck due to capacity limits. Now that I upgraded trucks, I have no reservations pulling the same or heavier trailer with a longer SuperTruss.

Or just do it the right way. Don't use a crazy long hitch extension that puts your hitch way too far behind your rear axle. Stretch (or have stretched by a welding shop if it's not your particular skill set) your trailer tongue to reach under the camper to your hitch directly. That's how I've done it for over ten years, pulling a 20' flatbed trailer weighing around 9500 pounds, depending what I have on it.

I would also get 5,000 lb. axles. Beefier trailer & better brakes.

Forget the 3500 lb axles.
Go with a 10k capacity trailer.

THe Jeep alone will nearly max out a 7k trailer by the time you add the weight of the trailer and the Jeep together.

7k flatbed trailer, been there, done that. I traded it in after it kept eating tires at one wheel position and got a 10k trailer.

It better be 9,999lb trailer, you you'l be for CDL.
Also trailer tongue extension is not that easy task. It needs to be engineered to avoid this

This. I custom-ordered the trailer I haul my TJ on and requested that they build it with a longer tongue. They were happy to do that and for only a nominal charge.

Keep in mind that good TCs are very expensive per square footage.

I'd have to consider a custom fifth wheel or goose neck trailer. You could put a side door TC on a goose neck trailer and carry the toys behind it. Of course, if you plan to use the TC separately, then having a TC would make sense.
