Too Many Miles for 2007 Suburban 2500?

We are looking at a used 2007 Suburban 2500 6.0/4.10 4x4 with 136000 miles on it. It is loaded and very clean and priced exactly at KBB retail. I am looking for thoughts on mileage with that combo. Service history is so-so. Tranny is documented flushed at 100k and carfax is clean.

We recently sold our Pilot and if this deal happens I'll be selling my Duramax soon after so that we can consolidate our tow and family vehicles for our family of 5.

Thanks for the advice
  • If properly maintained, it should have a lot of life left in it. Just be prepared to fix a few things here and there that come with age in any vehicle and continue to maintain. 3/4 Suburbans are very reliable as are their pickup counterparts. Enjoy!
  • Both of our previous Suburbans had in excess of 170k miles on them when we sold/traded. They were both very clean and I maintained them religiously. I would not hesitate to take them anywhere.
  • Get the best deal you can. No one pays KBB value. Lots of vehicles out there like that. Then take a few more dollars and have whatever it needs done to bring it up to snuff. Make sure it has a good tow package or put a good tranny cooler in. It is certainly better than payments on a new one.
  • You should be fine. Just keep up on the routine maintenance, at that miles it should be about broken in.
