Took our Arctic Fox out today

Took our new-to-us 2003 Arctic Fox 26J out on the road today for the first time. Our 2008 Tundra pulled it without a problem, barely noticed it, plenty of power and stability. I made sure I was staying within the truck's limits when I bought the camper a few weeks ago. I think I need to adjust the brake controller though, it doesn't seem to grab as much as the camper I had many years ago.

Looking forward to a summer full of camping. Going out on the first weekend without freezing temperatures, unfortunately it looks like there is an Arctic air mass moving down this way for the next few weeks :(

    It is great to break the shackles of winter and hit the road. It is particularly great that you have a new2U trailer. Congrats!

    Congratulations!We have a Northwood trailer too, and we really like it. I wonder how you found one way out in Maine?

    LFish, Northwood campers are rare in New England for sure. We looked at a 19' Nash and were impressed with the quality and rugged construction, that's when I decided Northwood was the way for us. There were only three or four for sale in the northeast at the time but I checked everyday for new listings. When this Arctic Fox came on the market we looked at it the next day and bought it. The previous owner downsized to a 22' AF.

    congrads on the fox. we had a 2003 26x fox and loved it. found a 2005 30u and really liked it so away went the 26x and we bought the 30u. it has a little more room and really like it. Bob

    Congrats! We have a 2010 Nash 25r and so far it has been a excellent camper, although very heavy....

    Enjoy the new camper.

    With your Arctic Fox, you can go out whether the temperatures are freezing or not. I've been comfortable in mine at -6F.

    Congrats on AF....I have AF love it. Down sized to 22H...2013. New, Great Quality....like the 8.5 ft width, no need for side for me....tows great...etc etc

    Frank, if you're taking the new baby out this weekend, make sure you've stocked up on propane. Looks like down in the teens overnight. That Fox should be made for those kinds of temps tho. Congrats on the find, and enjoy the camping.

    As the past owner of a 26J, I can congratulate you on your taste; you have a great trailer there! We loved and used ours for 14 years. Many, many miles in the mirror, not on perfect roads either. But it stood up GREAT, so much better than our other travel trailers...

    Do you have the booth dinette, or the free-standing table?
