Torklift Price Changes

Whew! Just had a tork lift super hitch and front tie downs installed on my truck in March!! Glad I did it then.

I think the policy favors the big dealers and hurts the small ones. Small, start-up companies need a hook and that's usually price-beating the big guys. It also stifles capitalism where the marketplace sets the price.

However, I know the strategy works as I've seen it with Hobie Kayaks. One thing it does do for buyers is it keeps the resale value high. With annual price increases, it's a pretty sure bet that older years will resell for their original/lower price compared to the new model year with it's 'adjusted' price.

Any retailer (brick and mortar). EU2000i: $999. They've been that price since they first came out.

Direct from Torklift. They provide the info to their dealers. I got the info too.

A lot of the companies I deal with have MAP policies in effect. It keeps all the dealers on an even playing field, giving all dealers a fair opportunity to sell the product, rather than one (or more) dealers engaging in a price war, which usually ends up being a "race to the lowest price."

Yup. I could not be happier with my Torklift products. I call the # on the installation manual,the phone is answered in 2 rings by a technical person, not some machine or some secretary. Right to 'the man' I need to speak at.

I had the same happen calling Hellwig a while back.

Neither one are cheap priced products, but then you get what you pay for in both instances.

Good quality product, superior customer service, and always ready to go the extra mile for thier customers. Worth a little more then other products don't you think?

Thanks, didn't know e-trailer sold torklift. I have bought A LOT of stuff from e-trailer. They have reasonable prices and very excellent customer service.
