Tow bar or Tow Dolly?

I really question the comment about the dolly costing the same as setting up for 4-down. I just purchased a new dolly from Acme for $1399. That was their top-of-the-line model; the cheaper ones were $899. It would have cost me 2-3 times my purchase price to setup my car for 4-down.

Brackets of some type are required for almost all vehicles. They attach the tow bar to the frame.

What setting up? I was just going to buy a $100 tow bar from walmart and I thought I would be good to go... or did I miss something?

I cannot think of any benefit to a dolly unless you have or want a vehicle that can be towed on one.
