- Homeless_by_ChoExplorerWell Andy, I only tried to explain what could happen. I am sorry that you took my response as a personal attack. It was never meant that way. I wish you good luck.
Please continue to ask questions and offer suggestions on this forum. I will not reply to your comments any more.
LeRoy - ADA6969ExplorerTerryallen--- Re read what I asked... AS FOR LEROY, I will have a hover craft. since front tires will be off ground and rear also. Really sorry for wasting all your time. You will never hear from me again.

Hi, for only 3-500 lbs of tongue weight you will be good. The 48" Torklift extension is good for up to 600 lbs without weight dist.
I would not exaggerate it.
I had aluminum dually with 12' TC on it without modification and with camper only rear still was 2" higher than front.
But when I put 48" stinger on it and hook my 3500lb boat, even with tongue in the range of 300 lb, I was scratching driveways with end of the stringer.
Mind my stinger is straight 3" tubing mounted in factory receiver.
Torklift Supertrust add 2nd beam below, so additional 3" drop. - TRIPLE8ExplorerHi, for only 3-500 lbs of tongue weight you will be good. The 48" Torklift extension is good for up to 600 lbs without weight dist.
- LwiddisExplorer II“Wow. I been driving for 10+ years 45k miles all over west cost with my old set up A/F 990 28" STINGER WITH 300-500 LBS OF Tongue weight.L
You’ve been very lucky. Don’t push it, wow. - mountainkowboyExplorerI towed this for 1100 miles on a 42" stinger (7,200lbs), truck never knew it was there. No adverse handling and I was in 60mph gusts for 60 miles at one point.

So why did you ask? - Grit_dogNavigatorADA, a little context with your question the next time may help.
Homeless by Choice, "lift the front wheels" c'mon buddy....lol.
ADA, you have your answer, mostly. Many do it with a Super Truss. You know how your own trailer handles. Even if others will profess that you don't....on the internet.
With that low of tongue weight, I'd hook n go with a properly setup dually and proper hitch. - ADA6969ExplorerI think the big difference is that my tow rig is 13500lbs DRW Duel axle trailer with just a jeep on it. 300-500 LBS TONGUE works do to the mass of the tow rig. This is what I am trying to figure out. I totally agree if I was towing 15k there would be some problems.
- Kayteg1Explorer III did tow with 48" stinger, but 3500 lb boat, so that's different story.
When you have 7500lb cargo trailer adjusted for 300 lb tongue weight - the trailer will be prone to fishtailing and you can find 100's youtube videos how it ends.
The final outcome depends on trailer shapes (boat do much better), axle design (torsion axles are better) and other factors as well.
Now if you managed to do it for over 10 years without accident, I want to see a picture of the set.
