Travel Trailer Bathroom door lockset

I'm at work or i would go measure my bedroom door strike in the house to see if it matches. I'd really love to hit up the home improvement warehouse and lunch and get what I need!

From experience, even standard bedroom door locksets are not created equal.

Do you still have the old one to take with you as a comparison? If not, keep your receipts. I've never had issues with returning items (even open boxes) to the larger stores.

I replaced the lav door in a clients TT and used a screen door latch assy from Home Depot.#1 priority firmly hold the door closed while enroute.

Yes that is smaller than your standard residential. But there is enough wood there to chisel out to make it work. Your hole into the wood needs to be minimal 5/8 wide and 3/4 high. And that is cutting it to close assuming the latch and strike are going to line up perfectly. Take a pencil and mark out the hole section on the strike. Remove the strike and with a sharp chisel carefully chisel it out and reinstall the strike.

That is the same setback/measurement as all the doors in our house as well at the bathroom door in the MH. Hardware in the MH is residential handles etc., but better quality than the ones in house.

My bathroom door handle broke and I replaced it with one from Lowe's or Home Depot. I did have to chisel a bit and I have had to adjust things once or twice.

The above is correct. Home Depot bath set, trace strike pattern and chisel carefully.
