We took our cats on a little walk along the canyon rim at Caprocks a few days ago. I was hoping Selina would want to walk some, but she just wanted me to carry her and not be in the bag. It was a little cold and breezy.
Kahlua was content to stay in her bag and just poke her head out. Dixxie is too small for a harness, so she stayed in the bag as well.
The park has a herd of about 100 bison that roam freely. They are descendants of a herd of southern plains bison that was gathered up by Charles Goodnight at his wife’s insistence. A living historic treasure. We gave them ample respect.
