Tv viewing

I had an AF 1140. You could only watch TV from one side of the dinette. I didn't like that. I think with many TC's with slides that is going to be a problem unless like others in this thread you relocate your TV

Is there not space to mount a tv across from the dinette on the AF 1140 or the 1150 which seem to have good layouts.

We now have a 24" TV in the outside compartment, 32" in the bedroom cab over and 40" over the fireplace in the living/dining room. This quite a change from our Arctic Fox which had single 22" that swiveled between bed and dinette viewing.

We don't subscribe to cable or satellite broadcasting. If we don't pick up over-the-air programming, we have a collection of movies from which to choose.

As others have posted, our Arctic Fox required both people sit on the same side of the dinette to watch TV. I really didn't mind the closeness, but better seating position would have gone a long way in comfort. Sometimes it was just easier to watch TV in bed.

If you are running the air conditioner, you may find the TV audio will be drowned out in white noise. Look for a way to patch that audio back to the sound system in the camper so the speakers are closer to you - You may not even need to run the volume louder, but it will be much clear at all levels.

We put a 24 there and store it in the cabinet. It's still bigger than the one in the bedroom. Follow the link to a pic.

I'm planning on doing the same if I'm reading your's correctly. Only against the Refrig/dinette wall.

Mounting a 43" on the Front sitting Side dinette wall, that backs up to the Refrigerator. It would also rest on the dinette back cushion. I have to be careful on screwing stuff on that wall so you don't go into the refrig.

I planning on screwing it with the two smaller toggle bolts and then velcor striip along the line of the "V" TV holder bar, Amazon has them.

That way I can just lift it off when traveling and just put it back on when set....

But wait...
there's more..

Since it is "Portable" I can, with proper wiring, take it outside and view on the side outside, cables going through the kitchen window. I also do have the camper's outside cable TV outlet, but thinking along like DVDs etc...

Headphones, Bluetoothed, to keep it quiet like...

So, sigh, Gawd, it never ends...

The idea of the 43" right across the dinet wall was obviously closer but also for the new Xbox gaming console and to enjoy the 4KHD or whatever it's called.

Only negative is that you have to be sitting on the other side of table to enjoy it. I'm "Solo" so no big deal..

But that's the game plan for now..

Fun eh?? it's what Camping is all about... (Just joking here, I'm full time, so not ALWAYS 'Camping' with campfires, marshmallows etc..)

Our tv in the bedroom on a bracket is viewable from one side of the dinette. Our solution was to add a separate tv with a removable bracket that fits over the cabinet top directly across from the dinette. It's a much better solution for us.

We are able to view the TV in our AF992 from the dinette. The TV is mounted to the wall with a "Mount-It MI-429".

I did the same as poole in my 990

Yep, no problem on the AF 990.
But from one side comfortably...

They can mount the TV Swing Bar, swings out over the bed facing back towards the diner (also for Bedroom viewing)..

I have a 32" and it works fine. DISH/DVD are inside the cabinet.

(Note, DISH 211z is the best receiver to use, not the Wally. Downside on the 211z is that it's not UHF from remote, so you have to leave a direct line of site, cabinet door slightly ajar. The do have something to convert receiver to UHF $15 or so and new compatible remote)
