- BurbManExplorer IIMy '01 now has all new stainless brake lines and fuel lines.....that's a job you only wanna do once....
- StclairmExplorerI was looking for that exact truck before I bought my new F150. If it doesn't have rust underneath or rusted brake lines, I say keep it.
- BurbManExplorer IIBig Toe your facts are 100%. Like you I had the blessing of paying for undepreciated knowledge which is now burnt into my brain.....
PAThwacker, how many PMs have you gotten so far?? - NWKomfort350ExplorerBigtoe.. thank you I never have realized that. Something to look for now.
- BigToeExplorerThe "Powerstroke Diesel V8" badge should be different. The early 2003 with the 7.3L had a black background on the Powerstroke badge, and the late 2003 with the 6.0 had the chrome background on the Powerstroke badge. Gee, I guess you're right. That doesn't constitute much of a difference does it!
- NWKomfort350ExplorerMaybe a swap lol I sure would love 4 full doors... I almost pulled into a dealer yesterday.. saw a 7.3 cc and was like oh nice wife said turn around we will trade right now I turned around almost pulled in, last second from a different angle realized short bed almost the same time wife said oh no short bed turn back around. Lol oh well. Probably was an 03 6.0 I have pulled up to at least 20 of those I wish they had more differences on the outside...
- BigToeExplorerPAThwacker... are you an auto broker?
It's hard to tell if your post was intended to look for congrats, look for advice, or look for a market to resell your finds.
GM never built a Quadrasteer Suburban with an 8.1L. So the Sub has either Quadrasteer and a 6.0L, or an 8.1L and no Quadrasteer. Or it doesn't have the original engine, which leads to a whole 'nuther bag of worms.
Because you said the Suburban has "Fun and Sun" package, that leads me to believe that you have the 8.1L, but not Quadrasteer, which was not available with a sunroof.
I own a Quadrasteer Suburban, and have owned it since brand new. Shopping for this particular vehicle for the three production years prior to buying it led me to learn every option it was and was not available with. Paying the non-depreciated price for it sintered this knowledge in my head for a surprisingly long time. - music69ExplorerThat's the first quadrasteer 8.1 I've heard of, as every one I've seen had the 6.0. Just fyi... you can't buy parts for the q-steer system.
- PAThwackerExplorerThe 8.1 sub has autoride and 4 wheel steering! My 6.0 is dedicated tv or back up vehicle. I'd get more use out the F350 for sure!
- 6_7_tow_rigExplorerI would definitely keep one or the other and sell your 6.0. Not that its not been up to the task but more power never hurts
