Vibe 308BHS depth between ceiling and roof

If I remember correctly by popping off the AC vent you could see the thickness or maybe pull off a light or speaker?

Do you have a 14x14 roof vent, if so pull the inside trim piece, 4 screws and you will see the depth and type of construction/insulation.

Because the depth can be different all over the roof, I would pull one or both of the speakers and check for the dimension you need.

They are probably just standard, inexpensive automotive size speakers (5 1/4 or 6 1/2). Pop the grill off one and remove it or measure it to be sure.

Most likely you could upgrade to something a little better, but doubtful you will find the clearance for the big magnet used on a real high quality speaker without crafting some sort of shim.

I, also, am intersted in hearing what you do. I am picking up out new 308BHS next week and I noticed those speakers look like those free speakers you would get with your paid Sports Illustrated subscription back in the 90's. Little white plastic blobs hanging down. Lol.
