wall and ceiling insulation

I'm removing wall and ceiling panels in my travel trailer to fix a water leak and mold problem. I'm also removing the insulation as it was wet as well. What type of insulation should I replace it with? Would the blue foam insulation be okay to use or should I find something similar to what I removed? Thanks.

If you can swing it, spayed in foam would be best. It will fill every cavity, add some strength, and won't hold onto water like a wet sponge like you get with batts. It does cost more though. Rigid foam boards would work as well. Your run of the mill trailer has about an R-7 value in the walls so if you can meet or beat that with rigid foam then you should be good to go.
  • I think the blue foam would work. It would likely be better than the original, and not soak up water.
