Behemoth trucks? Bigger than 10-15 years ago?
Lol.
Nobody seems to be bitting Grit ,that's twice you attempted to get a rise out of someone. :B
Not quite a bite, but I'll jump in. For as long as I can remember...and that goes back to the late '60's, Fords have "sat higher" than a comparable Chevy. In my driveway, I have a 2009 MY Chevy 2500, CC, 6.XX' bed, 4WD....my math says that is 13-14 years ago depending on how one counts model years. I also have a 2019 F250, CC, 6.XX' bed, 4WD, etc...a 3 year old vehicle. Other than the F250 "sitting higher" (and the older truck showing it's use-it-for-everything 150k more miles history), these trucks are the same general size and appearance. They fit in the same spots on my driveway, at my work, and at my wife's work.
Compare either of these to my buddy's restored '65 "Full size" Ford and the 2009 Chevy or the 2019 F250 are both obviously larger..but surprisingly not significantly larger than my other buddy's '6X (not sure of the year) restored International Harvester CC pickup.
I think the "behemoth trucks" of today are likely the pavement queen 150's and 1500's with all sorts of upsized components that, in all likelihood, will never see a bog, field, or rocky hill.
