We've all done it, haven't we?

We have all done it haven't we?

Trailer was all packed, I had everything. Hubby got home, hitched up the TT and then the boat. Within 20 minutes we were off for a quiet 4 day weekend. We thought how nice to be out on the boat all morning, hiking in the afternoon and enjoying the campfire at night.

About an hour into our journey we hit a detour. Now this detour was not on any major highway but a small back road. Trying to negotiate the gravel, unknown road with a 72' train was not the easiest, especially now that it was pouring rain.

We finally made it to the CG. We unhooked the boat and left it in the parking lot while we found our site. Some of our provincial parks have very narrow twisting roads. We found #343. Hubby so patiently tried to get our 27' TT into a site that had a 45 turn in about 8ft. I had of course forgot to pack the flood light. After a few #@¤”** we were in. Next we realized, I forgot to put back in the storage the cut up planks for levelling. After a few more *#@¤*# and some imaginative levelling with campfire wood and the few planks we had we were level and secure. Off hubby went to get the boat and bring it to our site.

Too late for a campfire so off to bed we went. Hubby woke with a fever, sore muscles etc. Of course I forgot to refill the med cabinet with cold/flu med.
Things went well on friday, cold and wet but a cuddly day. Sat. hubby felt better so we went out on the boat. Great day, until it started to pour. No campfire. Sunday, we went for a walk, lake way too rough to go out. Another cuddly day in a heated TT. Poured rain again, no campfire. Did I say that the temp hovered around 11C in the day.

Today,we went to leave and I forgot to put the dump hose back. I had it out for a good bleach (obsessive compulsive ). After hubby had a few more #¤**#"¤ he came up with the idea to use the honey tank to empty the blk and grey tanks. It did look odd at the dump station but it worked.

Anyway....What can I say but I was guilty on all accounts. We will go back to our reg way of double checking each other. The firewood didn't completely go to waste even though there was no campfire.

Hubby just said to me....do you think we can be ready to leave again fri, LOL....ultimate word, We!
