It is Street legal, that is why the licence plates and and the YouTube video from a modified Street class group.
Your Vette ran 9 seconds on Street tyres, which are illegal on a drag strip.:RYou can remember coming to Australia but cannot remember the laws : hint we drive on the opposite side. Your answers are becoming more fantasy each time you post.
Uhm.... street tires aren't illegal on the drag strip. And no, that car would not be street legal here due to the tires and without those tires it would not be able to run the time it did.
No, I cannot remember the all of the laws in Australia especially since I never drove on the roads there. I rode with family and friends that lived there. Why would I need or want to know every driving law in Australia if I am not going to drive there? Are you seriously expecting every visitor to Australia to know drag strip laws?!? And you say I am talking fantasy.... - Grit_dogNavigatorI'm not even sure who's arguing with who now....lol. Think I may have even agreed with one of fishes posts!!!

Hard for me to say that as I am an old Baby Boomer.but the " Ricers" Rotary or petrol engines are putting up phenomal performances
Did you not see the video I posted? The one with the street legal truck in it pulling a 5 in the 1/4 mile? And then he has to drive over a 1,000 miles on the street pulling a trailer to race again and again and again........
No have not posted it. In the class it is for highly modified but unstreetable former production cars of a similar weight and using the production engine.

This is the type of power we could have in a hybrid truck.
It would be cool if the hills we climb were 10 to 15 seconds long. Unfortunately the hills I climb are a bunch longer than that.
Electric power is like nitomethane. You can get a lot of power out of it for a short period of time.

Sorry the concept seems to be lost at so many levels.
It would take considerable battery power in a hybrid to make it viable. All the weight would Defintely slow it down- RobertRyanExplorer
