window insulation

To keep the bedroom darker, bought some reflective insulation. Comes in rolls app. 5/16 thick to place between the shades and the glass windows. We live in Missouri, gets pretty hot here. Any thoughts on possible glass breakage or any other problems
  • Is it the bubble foil insulation. Mine has had it on it's large front window for at least 10 years, no issues, it reflects the light right back out the glass.
  • I've used reflective bubble foil insulation on our 96 Southwind for years with no problems.
I use it on the windshield and the double pane windows.

You can get it at Lowe's, etc. or online.
  • You need to be cautious with double glazed windows, they can be blown out if the get too hot between the panes.

With double glazed windows, I would hang it on the outside with double sided tape.
