Winnebago Towable Customer Service

Since the Winnebago Towable division hasn't been around that long (2011), I felt that I should let interested trailer owners know about the great customer service I have received from Winnebago.

Just this week, I decided I really need to replace the power cord that plugs into the tow vehicle. I got sloppy last summer and the cord dragged along the road and chaffed through the insulation and some of the wires. I just cut the cable and intalled a plug and receiver, but I really don't like having one more electrical connection subject to corroion and deterioration. So, I want to replace it with a new cord. I contacted the warranty department about where to find the junction box for the cord...couldn't look for it first hand as the trailer is in storage. Well, an exchange of emails followed and my questions were answered promptly and so politely. I'm going to do a visual check of the trailer on Monday or Tuesday, and then order the replacement cord and get it installed before an upcoming trip.

Prior to this, we went to the factory last summer to have a roof ladder installed. And again, the service was excellent. So, mega kudos to the Winnebago Towable division!!:B
  • I posted my experience with their factory service back when Winnebago had just acquired SunnyBrook. We went out for the repair on the siding crack over the door when they were still fixing it for free. Everybody I came in contact with was very nice, very professional, but all had reservations about the direction Winnebago was going to take them, which is understandable. Maybe the old timers were able to talk some sense into the new owners? At any rate, they fixed me up, and the crack has not returned. Seems to me, if you're going to build trailers with inherent problems, you need to stand behind them or suffer the consequences of falling market share.
  • We have looked at the towables and really like the lay out and quality. Let us know how it serves you.
