Winterize a 2014 Zinger TT

Once you put the Rv antifreeze through the system, its winterized (its safe) . There is no reason to leave it in , you can blow it all out using compressed air. Doing this extra step will NOT leave residual taste when you use it in the spring.

Your owners manual from Crossroads will describe three methods to winterize you Zinger.

1. Drain your water heater.

2. Bypss the water heater by flipping the pipe valves. Your system may have 1, 2 or 3 valves. However they are set and how many you've got, probably just flip all of them in the opposite direction and your bypassed.

3. Pump Pink stuff through your camper pipes. You attach a hose to the intake side of your on-board water pump and put the other end of the hose in the gallon jug the pink stuff comes in. Turn on the water pump, and then open each faucet one at a time till all pink comes out.

3. Open your low-point drains and let everything drain out. You can do this before pumping the pink, or after. I do it after pumping the pink. It also relieves all pressure in the lines. After draining, put the end caps back on.

6 By pass your water heater.

7. Attach a valve stem to your city water inlet and attach an air compressor.

8. My wife and I do this together. She opens one faucet and I attach the air hose, like blowing up a tire. The faucet will start running water, and finally spit nothing but air. Then do the other side of the faucet the same. When nothing but air, go to the next faucet, shower, and toilet.

I like to do a combination of both blow and pink.
