Janet didn't get out...
I went in the office and told them that I knew there was a rally that weekend... that we were passing by early and might decide to stay I had my fingers crossed behind my back.... that absolves little white lies... I hope.
I asked if I could drive around the camp grounds... Oops! I mean RV Park Resort.
I picked up one of their brochures... The listed themselves as The Pride of Texas Hill Country... a 5 Star Resort with 6 levels of sites from basic to "Motor Home Premium" (their description not mine) goodness knows where a truckcamper would be allowed to park.
We were very disappointed.... it was very basic... we couldn't see enough difference between any of the sites to elevate the status for 6 different levels.... park models had most of the perimeter facing the brown watered river... MH's got the area near the pool and in some areas the trailers looked perminant
We didn't stop on the way out... the "gate" didn't have time to hit us in the .....
we were actually disappointed.... after having our truck camper for slightlymore than 12 years and and staying in it for 1186 nights... we went to a resort that wasn't as nice as a... well you know where we are going...
It was in Kerrville, TX.... a nice town... a mix of old.... and very new... divided by the Guadalupe River. We paid the highest diesel price to fill up... $2.799/gal.. the tank before was $2.049/gallon. yep... $2.049.
I'm not posting pictures of the campground.... not worth the time.
Note: the missing chunk of the Airfoil.... Big Bird got it!
