I have 2 rv's set up with the trojans and a log cabin with Trojan L16 batteries so need a charger I can move around to recondition after storage. I do have solar on the small class c but just 1 Kyocero 185 with a morning star controller. Will have to see if have room for a second I sure do appreciate all the discussions very helpful as usual. Many of you spend alot of time helping us with the problems so it is appreciated Thanks PamDeep cycle battery chargerGood Morning everyone I need a good portable battery charger that will desulfonate, equalize and charge my 4 Trojan T145 house batteries. We have more than 1 rv so need it to be portable. I am sure there are many opinions on the best one. The batteries are series/parallel so I have 12v 520 amp hour output. I have emailed some mfg but have not really found one I liked. A couple of the reps said to buy 2 chargers but I would like to charge them all together so all equalized. Surely many rv's have a system like I have or better. They, like many, are stored for long periods of time so want the capability of getting the batteries back up to trip standards. I have automatic water system on them and a solar panel but still want to top them off before long road trip Does anyone have any ideas on the best charger that "will do it all" Thanks for the help PamRe: No DC PowerThanks for all the help. Found that the switch by the door was bad so took it out and when I touched the wires the lights came on. Guess I must be getting old took my 1/2 the day to figure out I had a bad switch Thank You again for the help PamRe: No DC PowerI do not know where a store/use switch is located. Have never used one in the past. I have owned this for 5 years and have never had this problem. Power to both sets of batteries. Started both engine and gen. The KIB inverter panel shows batteries charged but when I hit the check levels nothing happens, the water heater and water pump do not work. Nothing lights up. I will try to trace the wiring again Thanks for all the answers PamRe: No DC PowerYes the Xantrex is inverter/charger. The inverter part works fine. I turned off the shore power and the inverter switched the AC on. I did not know the inverter would also be the converter. I guess my problem must be in the wiring connecting the inverter to the DC panel. I pulled the DC fuse panel and see a large red wire on the input lug so will have to find its origin. Thanks again. I will try to find a way to follow the input wire to the fuse box. PamRe: No DC PowerThanks having trouble finding the convertor. I have both the ac and dc fuse panels out and did not find it. The fuse boxes are right about the battery compartment. I will keep looking Thanks PamNo DC PowerGood Morning I hope I am not posting this question twice it went away into computerland but I do not know where. I have a 2002 Holiday Rambler Endeavor, diesel pusher. It has been parked awhile and is pouting. I have AC power. Everything AC related works, the gen works, microwave etc. The Trace (Xantrex) Freedome Marine 1500 works, the KIB, 16616109, works. I have no power to the DC fuse panel. Is there a convertor hiding somewhere that I am missing? Would I be looking at the convertor or maybe wiring or maybe???????? Does someone know where the convertor would be located Any help appreciated Thanks PamRe: Charging house batteriesThanks again I will get the make of the inverter tomorrow. I do not think I disconnected the convertor but will also check that. The invertor that I have in my fiver has a built in charger so should have gotten one of that type for the little motorhome. I will check things out and get back to you. Thanks again for all the help. PamRe: Charging house batteriesThanks for the info I did check the voltage and it did not increase. It has been plugged in a week and the batteries are still down. I must have missed a wire. I read the owners manual and it showed the house batteries charged off the motor there was no mention that the converter also charged them. I will check again Thanks PamCharging house batteriesGood Morning I need some expert help and think you guys are the best. My brother has a Winnebago View. I replaced the 2 house batteries with 4 Trojan T145's. I also put in a Xantrex pure sine inverter. The inverter does not have the charger built in. The manual shows the house batteries charge when the motor is running. I would like to set it up so I can charge the house batteries when the generator is running or it is plugged into shore power. My question is what would be the best charger for the 4 Trojans. I removed the little cooler or whatever it is and put in a shelf for the batteries. I have room to put a charger there unless someone has a better idea as to location and wiring. Thanks in advance Pam
