Dometic NDR1062 Frig Tech Input Please
Problem: Insufficient cooling on 110V and no LP cooling (check light on) in LP mode. In LP mode gas ignition lights - system starts cooling then goes out w/ no restart. I have: New Dometic cooling unit LP tank full gas orafice #58 removed and cleaned burner tube removed and cleaned gas solenoid tested ohms w/in factory specs Heater leads disconnected at circuit board and connect direct to 110V Thermister disconnected from power board and tip in ice water Results: w/ heater on direct connect freezer at -5F and frig at 25F in less then 24 hours. Thermistor at 7600 Ohms after 3 minutes in ice water. Cooling unit and thermister good. I have not checked voltage at gas Thermocouple in LP mode to see if meets test voltages. So - what is next? I have a temporary deposit on a 2001 Newmar Dutch Star 3852 for $50K. It has a Spartan chassis, 330hp Cummins & Allison MH3000 6 spd trans. It is a one owner coach w/ 97K miles and all service records. Six new Michelins last year. My questions? What should I inspect on this coach? IFS? Recalls? Should I be concerned about mileage at 97K (versus a coach w/ 50K)? Has the Brite Tek roof versus Aluminum? Owner input much appreciated. Thank you. I am looking at used DP's. Currently interested in a 2001 Newmar Dutch Star 3852. Sparten chassis w/ the Cummins 330hp and Allison electronic 6 spd. 10K hitch. 97K miles. Excellent condition. Priced at $57K. All records and manuals. Prior to this I have been looking at lower mile DP coaches. What reasonable life can one expect from this drive train? Experienced input appreciated.
