Kudos to RV.NET.on board generatorsI am new to RVing, purchased a 2013 Thor Class C. After my RV had set for approx. a month this past winter, I was preparing for a trip and when I tried to start the motor both batteries were dead and I had to have a battery service out to jump both batteries. I drove the RV to my service center to test the batteries, and was told that the generator must be started and run for 2 hours every 2 weeks. Can someone verify this?Re: Camping World, Nashville, TNOh, and for those of you who do not have his email it is: MarcusVIP@CampingWorld.comRe: Camping World, Nashville, TNSo service is not a priority a camping world. Maybe Mr. Marcus Lemonis hasn't heard this enough. I'll be sending him an email. Thanks for the comments.Camping World, Nashville, TNI'm new to RVing and to Good Sams and Camping World. My experience so far has been ok with purchasing items from the store. I get help if I ask for it, otherwise I'm on my own. Recently I asked for help with a surge protector but the service dept. was backed up and noboby available to help. So I thought I would try again at a later date when they were not quite so busy. I returned to the store a few days later to inquire again about a surge protector and to buy LP Gas for half price, which they offer on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Again, they were too busy to help me. There was a young service tech who couldn't answer my questions, and didn't know how to help with an on-board propane tank. The other tech would not look up from his computer, but told me that it would be awhile. When I asked him to be more specific he said 15 minutes to an hour, maybe two. Well, not wanting to hang around for possibly 2 hours to buy propane I went to the dealer next door and had my propane in a matter of minutes, although I did pay full price. The techs next door are always friendly and I do have a Route 66 membership wit them, but I prefer to use my Good Sam membership because of the many discounts and offers, and Camping World has a much wider selection of merchandise. I hope this is not the norm at this Camping World, but I also noticed that they must have a contract with a local tour bus operator, because their service area had several of the buses in the lot, and at least 2 in the work bays. Thanks
