Fast very good work, and reasonable.Re: 04 pilot toad light wiringKen, A little more info. The Honda forum is at Piloteers.org. Honda does sell a cable harness to connect to the trailer connector, but it is quite expensive. I cut the connector off, and connected the diodes directly to each wire, (stop, left and right turn, and tail light). You can figure out which wire does what by turning each of those on and checking for 12V at the wire. Honda took the "towable behind a motor home" out of the owner's manual in 2006. I think some of the newer models may be towable, but without Honda's blessing your warranty may be voided. Our Pilot has 140K on it, and is still going strong!Re: 04 pilot toad light wiringKen, I just did this this summer. After lots of research I found that there's a trailer connection in the storage tray just inside the tailgate. I installed diodes to isolate the Pilot wiring from wiring running from motor home. I did run wires under the Pilot to a grommet in the bottom of the storage tray. They could be run through the firewall and back under the carpet. After the 100 degree day I picked to do this I should have gone the carpet route, but... For more information on where to find the trailer wiring do a search on Piloteers.com. It's an excellent forum for help with all the oddities of the Pilot. Some on there will try to tell you the Pilot can't be flat towed. Ignore them!! Hope this helps you. It is not a simple installation.Honda Pilot dinghyWe have been towing an 05 Pilot for a year, using a set of magnetic lights on the roof. The loose wires are scuffing the paint, and I'm ready to wire the rear lights with a set of diodes. Has anyone done this who can offer advice on where to run the 4-conductor wiring? I have a Pilot shop manual, so can find directions for most things. I am considering running through the firewall, and under the carpet to the rear side trim panels. Any thoughts from someone who has done this? Thanks for your help.Ford F53 emergency brake fluidPlease help. New to me motorhome 97/98 Pursuit on a Ford F53 chassis. I have searched several forums and the documents we got with purchase. I can not locate the fluid reservoir for the emergency brake. I see what looks like a reservoir, but all the bolts around it are attaching hardware. Is this on the right or left side of the coach? Ahead of the brake enclosure or behind? On top or side? This is making me crazy, I suspect it isn't a problem, but would really like to know how to get to it for future maintenance. Thanks in advance. Regards, John05 Honda Pilot baseplate installI need some advice. Ordered a Blue Ox baseplate for our 05 Pilot. Install instructions say some drilling is needed in frame rails to accept all the mounting hardware. Has anyone done a Pilot install? Is there clearance for a drill around the frame? Any other tricky parts of this? I have all the clips to put the bumper/splash panels back on. Thanks in advance.Re: Ridgeline towable...?Check with the Honda Ridgeline forum. Think you'll get a straight answer there. With the Pilot, I believe they were shown as towable behind a motorhome till either 07 or 08. Our Pilot is an 05, and I'm setting it up with baseplate, brake and lights. Directions in the owners manual.Tire suggestions for 25' coachWe're hopefully picking up a 97 Allegro 25' motorhome tomorrow. I believe it is going to need tires. Have had 2 coaches with 19.5" tires, and ran Michelin XZ series on those. This has 16" tires, and I'd prefer to go with Bridgestones. They have served well on our toads (Honda CRV and Pilot). I'd appreciate input, including what might have come as OE on the 97 Allegro. Thanks
