Les Schwab and Discount Tire can order them for you. I considered those as well. My rims are stamped "max load 1820 lbs", which is the max load for my load range C tires at 50psi. I'm wondering if it would be OK to go to a D with a 65 psi rating on the wheels? I wonder if the wheels are stamped with a maximum air pressure? It may well be that your wheels are the limiting factor and upgrading to a greater load capacity tire will be negated by the wheels. Regarding the 1 star rating for the tires your are considering remember most RV tire failures are caused by overloading, under pressure, over speed, or over age. The tires get great reviews...it's just the Walmart Tire/Lube Center service that seems to be all over the place. My C rated tires have about 2800 lbs of weight capacity to spare as 4 of they will carry about 7480 lbs max, and my trailer weighs about 4600 lbs fully loaded. So going D is probably overkill, and my rims may not be rated for the higher pressure anyway.Re: Walmart Tire & Lube Express - Carlisle Radial Trail HD downtheroad wrote: I'd go with Goodyear Endurance in the same size except move up to load range D. My local tire shops (Les Schwab and Point S) carry Towmax and Transporter, respectively) but I could save about $200 on the Walmart/Carlisle option....probably a better tire than either Towmax or Transporter. My trailer uses ST205/75R15 C tires. Anyone with points to consider using Walmart as a tire installer? It appears the biggest complaints about WM is the longer wait for installation. Thanks!Re: Water leak helpThanks for the tips. Will double check things, and try the toilet paper trick on the plumbing fittings to make sure they are OK.Water leak helpI have a 2011 Outdoors RV 18' Back Country travel trailer, and have had some mysterious water leakage that I'm having trouble finding. Seems to be under the hot water heater, with some migration beyond fore and aft to areas under the sink, etc. Sink connections and drains resealed. Doesn't seem to produce water under the cabninetry all the time, just occasionally. Seems to be noticed after we've towed somewhere. The water heater sits mid-chassis, right above the wheel wells, right under the stove. I've checked the wheel well sealing, seems OK. The hot water heater PEX connections were somewhat loose at one time, both are snug now and the water has appeared after a tow again. Water heater fittings are now tight, the brass nipple on the inlet is solid, as is the plastic check valve outlet....holds pressure without visual leaks...I've read that these plastic check valves can be problematic, but it appears to be fine. Styrofoam wrap on water tank makes further diagnosis difficult. The water under the cabinetry under the water heater area is always clean, not dirty, which leads me to suspect something with the water heater. It's a Suburban 6 gallon model. Windows, all sidewall sealing is maintained and doesn't appear to be a source for water intrusion. Thanks for the words of advice!Replacing Stabilizer Scissor JacksMy new-to-me 2011 Outdoors RV Back Country 18F trailer has 4 "J-2500" scissor stabilizer jacks, and on 2 of them, the long threaded screw shafts are bowed/bent, which make the jacks wobble horribly when they are being extended or retracted. Looking to replace at least those 2, possibly all 4 as the jacks seem pretty flimsy compared to the BAL jacks I had on our last trailer. My mounting brackets are welded to the trailer frame, so I'm hoping to find jacks that I can just bolt up to my existing jack brackets....looks like all of the jacks just have 2 bolts that attach to the mounting bracket...but the spacing of the bolts is the question. Does anyone know if these brackets are somewhat universal? I've sent emails to BAL, Camco (EazLift), and Stromberg Carlson to see what the bolt spacing is on their jacks, but haven't heard back yet from any of them. I've found the "J-2500" jacks from PPL Motorhomes via Ebay, but I can get BAL or EazLift for less money, and they are 5000 or 7500 lb rated. Thanks for your help!Replacing Jensen ANHD20 antennaOur 2011 Outdoors RV Back Country trailer came with an "omnidirectional" Jensen ANHD20 antenna, which does a horrible job picking up OTA television stations. I only live about 35 miles from Portland, Oregon and it only will receive 3 obscure channels. My old trailer with a crank up Winegard picked up close to 12. I'd like to replace it - - I'm guessing the only way is to pry the unit off the rubber roof, and replace it with something else. Not real keen on tinkering with the roof seal, but any advice on how to and what to replace it with?Shurflo 4008 Revolution rapid cyclingWe just used our new-to-us 2011 Outdoors RV Back Country trailer this past week, and noticed that the Shurflo unit stutters like a machine gun when the faucets are opened to a low flow. The stuttering goes away when the faucet is cranked open to near max flow. Checked for leaks, cleaned the aerators, cleaned the strainer on the pump inlet...no changes. My old trailer had an older Shurflo that had an adjustment screw, but I see this one has a bypass adjustment screw (allen key) but not sure if I want to tinker with that or not? Otherwise everything works fine.....perhaps it's something I should ignore and not worry about, but curious as to solutions? Pluming lines are 1/2" PEX or similar poly.Curt Triflex brake control users?Any feedback on the Curt Triflex brake controller? I see that it is similar to the Tekonsha Primus IQ, my Primus just went haywire and I've pulled it out and temporarily replaced it with my fiddly old Voyager. Of course I can't find my receipt, but I had saved the packaging and decided to write a letter and mailed the dead Primus IQ controller and packaging off to Tekonsha in hopes of a free replacement....crossing my fingers. But, in case I'm denied.... My local dealer sells the Triflex and says it is a sweet controller for less $ than the P2 or Primus IQ. I know brakes aren't anything to cut corners with, but just curious.Re: Costco 6V GC battery price?Mainly looking for more amp hours for boondocking. But perhaps not really necessary since we don't get to camp more than 2 or 3 weeks in the summers. I have a pair of group 24's that are 3 years old that seem to be losing charge as they sit, so I think they are on the way out. I'll check out the Tigard Costco, and also double check my space; our Outdoors RV Back Country has a curved front end cap that makes it tough to access the shorter group 24's....so I might be barking up the wrong tree looking at the taller GC2's.
