But after looking at the CarefreeofColorado.com website, I see that they make a product called a Sunshade. It's a roller-style shade that is recommended for rear window. Has anyone used this style for the main side windows? I'm trying to find the pros and cons of a standard window SL Awning compared to the Sunshade .Any comments?Re: How to visit the East Coast on a 6-month tripThanks so much for all the replies. It sounds like we should spend a few months in South Florida, and slowly make our way up the coast. From what I'm hearing, lots to do and see in Pennsylvania and Washington DC. As far as interests, we really enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and beaches. Also enjoy City Walking Tours. Although we like Museums, it seems that we'll have to pick and choose some of the more popular ones. The other thing we need to consider is that we don't want to be anywhere that is too hot & humid. We would prefer cooler weather, but not below freezing. We also understand that there are always exceptions to the normal weather. How to visit the East Coast on a 6-month tripWe are trying to plan a full tour of the East Coast from Florida to Maine. We can start as early as February... and we would like to finish the trip by July. Does anybody have any advice on areas that shouldn't be missed? Also, how long should we stay in each area. I would assume that some stops should be relatively short, while others may be month-long layovers. Any ideas on which places should be longer stops...and what time of year is best for each area?Is my Catalytic Heater working properly?I recently purchased a 'reconditioned' Olympian Wave Catalytic Heater. I've never owned one before, so I'm not sure what to expect. When running on high, I expected the entire pad would be glowing uniformly, but the bottom, and especially the bottom left is glowing the brightest. Nearer to the top, it doesn't appear to be glowing at all. Is this normal?Re: modifications for better towingI agree. Don't throw your money away on these 'gimmicks'. They may provide a little bit of HP gain...but at what cost? If it was that 'simple'...wouldn't you think Ford, Chevy & Dodge would put their own 'super chips' on all their vehicles. There is no magic cure. Save your money, and buy a truck that can handle the load.Re: Storage bin locksWe have the barrel locks that I installed also...I simply filed off the keyway (bump on outside of key). This allows the key to be removed, whether it is locked or unlocked.Re: Campground along PCHRincon Parkway. It's located between Hobson Beach Campground and Faria Beach Campgrounds...spectacular setting!!Re: Favorite Elks campgrounds? We're currently staying in Boulder City, NV We have full hookups with 50A service, water and sewer. WiFi is spotty. It's a real nice lodge, and close to Vegas. They have about 15 sites...The rate is normally $20/day or $500/month...but this summer (July-September), they're actually reducing their rate to $13/day or $300/month...It get's pretty hot here.Re: Need Campground close to La Jolla, CAIf you can get in to South Carlsbad State Beach...that would be the best alternative. It's usually booked solid 7 months in advance...but you may get lucky and they may have a cancellation.Re: going thru Nevada in JulyHwy 50 is OK for RVs. Beware that cellphone signal may be spotty, and make sure you have plenty of fuel before you get going. It's pretty desolate...not much to see
