I just installed a double water filter on “MidLife” (Winnebago Vista 30B) and its made a world of difference. How long would you suggest keeping water in the tank? I’m thinking after a certain amount of time its not a good thing. Prior to installing filter I use to empty tank and water heater after every trip. I couldn’t find any post on this. Thanks in advance!Any Benefits to 30amp to 50ampRookie RVer :C here! Are there any benefits to plugging my 30amp (using an adapter of course) into a 50amp? When I have the option at campgrounds to plugging into either 30amp or 50amp I’ve been purposely plugging into 50amp with the belief it’s more stable.Storing With or Without Full Gas TankHello, Rookie RVer here! It is best to store motor home with full tank of gas to prevent water accumulation when it will sit for a month or more? Of course there’s fuel additive added and engine ran as well as on board generator to get additive throughout the system. Thank you in advance!Need Help Searching for Our Right 5th WheelRookie RVer :C here with a question. Next season we are trading our Class A for a 5th wheel, particularly a toy hauler. Our research is beginning now with the goal of actually purchasing by March 2019. The top “want / must have” is a garage that will hold our ATVs. Currently the utility trailer we use is 8’ X 14’ pulled behind the Class A. How, where do we start identifying/shopping 5th wheel toy haulers by its specific garage size? Meeting our needs with regards to garage size is our starting point for shopping and deciding on our first 5th wheel. Another “wants’ / must have” is well insulated so it can be used all year round. No budget, and no weight limit......yet. Where would you suggest we start our search for the right 5th Wheel?Spare TireHello! Rookie RVer :C here......asking for feedback regarding carrying a spare tire in a 30ft Class A. I don’t ever image trying to change a spare by myself in an emergency, and my hope is the road side assistance would be able to help. I want to remove it with the goal of having more storage space. Your feedback.........Help With ResearchRookie RVer :C here with a question to help with my research. How do I go about identifying specific 5th Wheel/Toy Haulers that has a garage with minimum dimensions of 8 x 14? After owning two Class A’s I am beginning to recognize the benefits of what a 5th Wheel /Toy Hauler will have for us. My current trailer that we use for our ATVs is 8x14 which is a perfect fit thats why my research is specific. I currently have a Dodge 1500 with the expectation of upgrading to a Dodge 3500 if the decision is made to trade Class A for 5th Wheel.Re: American West Historical Sites / Towns / Places to VisitRookie RVer :C here! There is no time table......i’m retired, so there are no hurries or worries. In about two and a half weeks I am pulling up anchor and getting underway. This year my 2018 Summer Travel Bucket List will be focused on the old American West. Just because the trip start in summer does not mean it must end when the summer ends........i’m retired :-) . If that mean I travel the “zillion” miles (as referred to in a reply) that’s okay too......i’m retired. Googling information like this doesn’t compare to the responses I can get from those who have actually live it. My 2017 Summer Travel Bucket List focused on historical American Slavery Sites. I pulled up anchor and got underway mid-June and didn’t return until a couple of days before Thanksgiving.......i’m retired :-) . “Summer Travel Bucket List” is more a title than an accurate description. It’s helps with the organizing of my journals that include all sorts of things like pics, sourvieners, writings, and memories. If there was one place......just one place that you have visited that has the old American West focus which you are fond of what would it be?American West Historical Sites / Towns / Places to VisitThis topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 29661910American West Historical Sites / Towns / Places to VisitHello, Rookie RVer :C here. Do you know of a place(s) to visit where the focus is the old American West? (Historical sites, museums, small town(s), etc.). Your suggestion will be added to my 2018 Summer Places to Visit Bucket List........A Different Tire Question / ResearchRookie RVer :C here with a different tire question / research.........is there a such thing as a "quiet tire" for Class A motor home? I understand tire size, what the numbers mean, the year, etc. but I want to invest in quality "quiet tires". I want to get a smooth, quiet ride instead of a rough truck tire type of ride. Is there a such thing? Plan to purchase six tires some time this upcoming week; no later than the weekend. Also, does the function of the shocks contribute to what I want to achieve....."smooth, quiet ride"? (2008 Winnebago Vistat 30B, weird tire size of 19.5) Thank you in advance.....
