Are there many of you who would full time in one?Re: What would you buy for a $175,000?Blue Bird Wonderlodge, I forgot about those and they are a terrific coach! I love Newell but you'll not find a 2005 for $175 and I've not seen a Foretravel for that amount either.Re: What would you buy for a $175,000?My thanks to one and all although some were just a little off the subject! :( It looks like there is general agreement that a Monaco, Country Coach and Beaver are the way to go and that is good news because there seems to be an excellent selection of these coaches. Thanks again for your help. What would you buy for a $175,000?From what I’ve learned from you about buying a used coach is nothing is more important than the chassis and the best chassis is the semi-monocoque because of its strength and rigidity! I also understand that an aluminum/metal exterior is also the best. Its my understanding that both of these things are available on the Monaco and Country Coach in the years I’m looking for. I have to stay with a coach that is no more than 10 years old because I’ll need to finance part of it. I’m looking for; • 2005 to 2010 • 45’ Motorhome • Bath and a half • Two or more slides • King sized bed or Queen What do you think and I'd be happy to hear other recommendations you have? Thanks for your help,Re: offering a price on a used motorhomeNo, I just started looking and want to see other things out there. The 2007 Eagle I saw had the full drivers side slide and wow was that impressive. Most of what I'm seeing has 2 couches and I'd really like a couch and desk and chair. Right now I'm looking forward to the experience and the floorplan that really jumps out at me!Re: offering a price on a used motorhomeI was at a large dealer last week and they had a 2007 43' American Eagle for $299,000 and the salesman told me straight out $200,000 is doable. I was shocked, all this time I've limited my searches to coaches $25,000 over what I wanted to spend. Finding out I could be looking at something $100,000 over was never in my thought process! Maybe this was an exception but how many exceptions re out there?Re: Combo Washer/Dryer, is this right? The dealer told me today they would want $3500 for the conversion! Wow I sure didn't expect that, but then again, I have no idea all that is needed to set it up. I'll not be doing it for $3500 that is for sure but I sure do thank you guys for your input on the subject. HJRe: Combo Washer/Dryer, is this right?Great information. I think after reading between the lines and between them, a combo although tolerable, is not the first choice if you had a choice. I'm going to contact the dealer to find out what they would charge to convert the closet above the combo to allowing for a stackable washer and dryer. We may want to full time and I can't think of too many other things that would really get on my wife's nerves. Small loads, 2 hour loads and wrinkles would not be to my benefit. If I could get the job done for a couple grand I'd look at it as a bargain knowing the alternative from my wife. I'll keep the couch for sitting thank you very much! ;) HJCombo Washer/Dryer, is this right?Last week I was looking at a late model American Eagle and it had a combo washer/dryer. Everything I've read about them said "bad idea" they take forever to run a load! When I said that to the salesman he told me that's true but if the combo unit has an exhaust to the outside it works much better. Do you guys agree with that? He also said there was enough room for both washer and dryer and they could install it in the coach. I didn't ask what that would cost. Thanks, HJ95 Newell for $45,000. Cand you get insurance for it?I've been looking at a 1995 Newell for $45,000. Are there places that will loan money on a motorhome that old? Or if its over 10 years old you're out of luck? Thanks, HJ
