I know that has happened to me. One of our former illustrious Louisiana governors once said if you are with me early, you get a friend, but if you are with me late, you get good government. Dealerships are pretty much the same - they are a lot friendlier if you buy from them. Glad you found a good one. Probably worth buying from them.Re: LP GAS ISSUEArchHoagland, no problem. I'm obviously new to this blog stuff although I've been on computers since early dos. Still trying to figure out the new (to me) RV!! Interestingly, the Fleetwood was our first RV. Never even drove one before it. Some friends got us hooked with one night's stay with them lakefront and the rest of the story moved fast. Really loved the Fleetwood, but got sideswiped by a slow moving freight train in KY 18 months ago and totaled it. Messed up the Jeep pretty bad also. Took us a year to decide to get another one and made the mistake of getting a gas unit. That's not a knock on gas, but i can tell you that if you have ever owner a diesel pusher, you can't go to gas afterwards. At least we couldn't. So we to Tampa Lazydays and traded a new Coachmen Encounter on a loaded 2010 Phaeton in October. Great unit. May even full time a little in this one between selling our house and building a new one. Speaking of Lazydays, never been treated better at an RV shop in my life!! Wonderful facilities, great people. They actually do what they are supposed to do without being asked to do so!! If you are thinking about changing units, check them out. You get it all for no more money. Scott Aszman, Crown Club Sales, is the best. Even the service techs went out of their way to see that you were happy with your unit. 126 acres of live oaks with RVs under them. Thanks for everyone's help!Re: LP GAS ISSUENot quite entry level - 2010 Phaeton. Had a Fleetwood Revolution for 7 years prior to this one. It was a faulty $10.00 add-on part and not the coach.Re: LP GAS ISSUEWell, the shoe finally dropped on the real problem. Turns out that the quick connect gadget between the main valve and the regulator has a shut off mechanism in it that is meant to stop the flow of gas if the hose from the quick disconnect to a crawfish pot, bbq pit, whatever, is cut. That fitting was faulty!!! Its redundant anyway because the main valve has one of these built into it also. I suspected this and went looking for a replacement at my local Steve's Ace Hardware. One of those hardware stores that carries most things you will ever need. The guy there knew exactly what i was talking about and told me that most of the time when someone comes in with my problem, that valve is bad. He was spot on. Replaced it with one without the shutoff built in and the gas works fine. The one i replaced is called an excess flow fitting and is shown at this location. Looks the same but without the internal thing. Not sure how the following link works - you may have to copy it into your address bar. Thanks for all of your suggestions!! https://www.propanewarehouse.com/shop/accessories/propane-pol-wexcess-flow/Re: LP GAS ISSUESo, turns out that the tank valve is bad. Disconnected everything from the tank valve and opened it. Opens slightly and then closes - the safety mechanism is faulty. Talked with tech support at Lazydays and found someone who was really knowledgeable - he had a similar problem. Got to empty the tank and replace the valve. Gonna see if a LPG distributor can assist me with that, or I will have to take the RV to a RV shop and let them do it, if I can find one that will work on a propane tank!! jwmll, probably that excess flow preventer you were talking about. Thanks for all of the help!! Happy Thanksgiving!!!!Re: LP GAS ISSUENo thermocouples.Re: LP GAS ISSUEUnderstand on the caps - just lazy. No remote fill shut off. Just changed the regulator. I'm thinking that maybe the tank shut off valve is faulty. There is a little slack in the knob.Re: LP GAS ISSUEIT'S A CLASS A DIESEL WITH A SINGLE TANK. CHECKED THE LINES FOR KINKS. TANK IS FULL. I'LL CHECK THE SHUT OFF. WOULD IT RESET AND COME BACK ON BY ITS SELF?LP GAS ISSUETHE LPG ON MY 2010 PHAETON WILL NOT WORK. AFTER TURNING A STOVE BURNER ON, THE GAS COMES OUT LONG ENOUGH TO LIGHT THE BURNER THEN IT SHUTS OFF. REPLACED THE REGULATOR, BUT STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM - GAS COMES ON (CAN HEAR IT ESCAPING) AND THEN GOES OFF. GOING ON FOR A COUPLE DAYS NOW. I CAN LEAVE IT OFF FOR A FEW HOURS AND SAME THING HAPPENS AGAIN. NOTHING ELSE WILL LIGHT EITHER. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
