I added cabinet doors under my dining area seats that weren't an option in 2012. PT sent me the doors and hardware for the mod. Now its a standard option.Re: Experience with internet purchases Wiscampsin wrote: I realize this will open up a whole new discussion but just be aware that a local dealer might not want to do any work, warranty or otherwise, on a camper you didn't buy from them. Just sayin', something to consider. The local dealer may not want to, but I do not think it is a choice if they are a Rep of a line. This doesn't mean it will be done in a timely manner, but it is their reputation on the line also. My best advice is to offer the local dealer to match price and unit. If they cannot than ask them how they will warranty issues if you buy elsewhere.Re: Experience with internet purchasesI negotiated over the phone and emails, drove about the same distance to purchase. Never exchanged any money until I could see the TT. The dealer had it all set up inside for me to check it out when I got there (Feb purchase in the cold). At worst I would give a deposit, but are they really going to sell that trailer in the day its going to take you to drive there? The only concern I had was where to bring it for warranty. The closest dealer for me couldn't match the price and knew I was travelling for a different TT. They said they would still perform any warranty issues. I never had any issues that I couldn't handle myself with the factory and dealer I purchased from. I had a few issues at the PDI that were fixed on the spot and a couple I fixed with parts sent to me at my house.Re: Primetime Lacrosse versus Rockwood Signature UltralightI have owned both lines. 2008 Rockwood 8317SS and my current Lacrosse. I would never buy a Rockwood again and would purchase my Lacrosse again. Unless they have done something significant with the Rockwood over the last few years, there are distinct build quality differences. I have also had great customer experiences with PrimeTime making modifications with factory employees helping me over emails.Re: Hitch will not come off the ball.Mine is always preloaded forward of the coupler. I set my chocks, put the TV in neutral then park, lower the jack and the tension is released. If I'm real lazy I just keep my finger on the raise button until the lift pressure is enough to overcome the preload pressure (spoiled with the power jack), but when it releases everything moves a bit uncomfortably for me. The best solution is to release the pressure by putting the TV in neutral. In some cases I actual have to put it in reverse and ease off the brake slowly to release it. As a side note: I always make sure the wheels are chocked AND the chains stay connected until it is released and the weight is on the jack.Re: Weird OdorWe just purchased a used car with 20k miles on it. 4 months later started to get a cig smoke smell. As someone already mentioned, dealers and detailers have just about everything to cover up smells. Try changing or the cleaning the air filters in the furnace (if there is one) and the AC.Re: Electric StabilizersSelf Leveling may be a bad term to use. The electric jacks on mine will adjust the same amount of force to each side with only one motor controlling both sides. So when on uneven ground the high ground side will touch first and the low ground remains moving until it touches. Then equal pressure is applied to each side. Have you tried keeping the motor running when the first side catches?Re: Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite OwnersWhen I had my 2008 8317SS I believe the tongue weight full loaded was 1140#'s. I cannot find the CAT slip I had. If I find it I will re-post all the actual weights.Re: Electric Tounge Jack QuestionWired to the battery. Good move, great upgrade, you'll be happy.Leaking outdoor kitchen doorI have noticed that I have water stains in the plastic channel on the outdoor kitchen door. The stains are in the left hand lower corner and the metal latches in the frame are rusty. It looks like water builds up enough and rolls over the channel and into the TT. I store the camper with the front raised on a slight hill. The left corner appears to be out of square a little bit compared to the right corner when closed even when level. How can I tighten this door to stop leakage? 2012 Primetime 318BHS Touring
