Thanks JbirdRe: Hankook Trailer TiresTH-10 is a 16 ply tire. AH-11 is a 12 ply tire. The TH-10 is better for weight, and I need that more than speed.Re: Hankook Trailer Tires FastEagle wrote: ramburgy wrote: I am considering buying Hankook 215/75R17.5 TH-10 tires on our 5th wheel. FastEagle I did't know that. Thanks, I will look at them.Hankook Trailer TiresI am considering buying Hankook 215/75R17.5 TH-10 tires on our 5th wheel. We will be replacing 16 inch wheels with 17.5. Since 07 the GY G has been very trouble free. So those that keep reporting problems they had but don't tell the whole story make it harder for buyers to make an informed decision. I have NEVER had even a flat tire with a GY E, G or H tire that is one reason I keep buying them and the other reason is they are the only ones that WILL pay for damages. Oh yea I try to buy US Made also. Our G614's were less than 4 years per our repair shop when one exploded. They had 110 psi at 55 mph. Also we have been camping since 1974, and this is the first time we have ever had a tire problem.Re: 17.5 tires Cummins12V98 wrote: ramburgy wrote: We had G614's on our Cameo as upgrade from Carriage. They had about 20,000 miles on them, and were 3 years old when one exploded and did $6,500 in damage to our trailer. We were going 55 mph, and the tires had 110 psi. We just had the tires inspected and told they were good. The $6,500 did not include the road service. We did everthing by the book to take care of them, including keeping them covered. Please take my advice, get the 17.5 wheels and tires. Did GY pay for the damages? We are going to start the process tomorrow.Re: 17.5 tiresWe had G614's on our Cameo as upgrade from Carriage. What they were saying about there frames, besides how they are constructed, is that Lifestyle only uses American made steel. Thats a plus for me! As does Northwood, Peterson Indust(Excel), Outdoors & New Horizon; to name just a few It is still is a plus for me, no matter who uses American materials, as Lifestyle does.
