Fleetwood gave me the phone number of Alpha Systems and Alpha verified that I did have their roof. Bottom line is , I will need to go to the trouble of priming the roof prior to adding Liquid Rubber coating.Re: Do I have an Alpha EPDM roof?By the way, this is a 5th wheel!Do I have an Alpha EPDM roof?I have a 2004 Fleetwood Wilderness Advantage AX6 and need to know if the roof is an Alpha EPDM rubber make? If it is then I need to to prime the roof prior to adding a liquid rubber coating. If not made by Alpha, it will save a lot of cost and time. ThanksRe: Mildew during 5th wheel storageSounds like vents being open probably works best. I would like to put the Adco cover on to protect the roof and paint. These covers will cut the ventilation some. Anyone out there using a cover and vents open?Mildew during 5th wheel storageWe plan to store our 5th wheel for 6 months in central Florida and 6 months near Pigeon Forge, TN. There will be no electricity and we have a Adco Tyvek cover. Other blogs are mixed on leaving vents open to prevent mold & mildew. We live in Atlanta and now store it there without the cover and vents closed but had mildew until adding the bags of drip-rid and checking it monthly. When I store it out of state I will be able to check every 3 months. Winter storage in Florida might not be a problem using drip-rid but summer storage in Pigeon Forge most likely will be since not being able to check for 3 months. The question is do I leave the vents open with cover on and best dehumidifying to use? ThanksRe: Gas milage for a diesel / gas engineI have both a 5th wheel and a motorhome each weighing total of 22,000 lbs. The 2004.5 dodge diesel dually averaged 10.5 mpg on a 13,000 mile trip to Alaska with many mountains. The motorhome is a 2011 Fleetwood Terra with a triton v-10 gasser pulling a Honda Fit and has been averaging 7.5 mpg. If I had room at home to park a larger motorhome I would have purchased a larger diesel motorhome. If you don't plan on driving some in the mountains then a gas motorhome should be ok.Re: Need Scotty Air Filter ReplacementA Scotty air filter is a high performance after market engine air filter that I believe went out of business I around 2006. What I want is a replacement filter to fit into the Scotty plastic housing. The filter is 4.5 inches in diameter and 12 inches long. ThanksNeed Scotty Air Filter ReplacementI have a 2004 1/2 Dodge 5.9 diesel with a Scotty air filter and now need a replacement , hopefully in kind. Can't find Scotty on-line so was wondering where you are getting a replacement filter to fit in the plastic case that came with the Scotty system. I believe it is a Scotty 1. If this filter is no longer available then what filter would you recommend? Thanks Stephen HaleRemove storage moistureI have been having trouble with mold on the interior wood in several locations of our 37 foot 5th wheel during storage. What can I place inside the camper to remove moisture during storage where I don't have access to power? I do plan on cracking the roof vents for ventilation.
