Should I have the leveling jacks down? Or leave them up? Thank you in advance.Winter Storage in MinnesotaMy 1997 Winnebago Chieftain will be going into storage for the winter very soon. For the first time since we have owned it; she will be in storage away from my home. It will be indoors but unheated. I fully understand winterizing the plumbing. My question is; should I pull the house batteries or make sure they have a good charge and push the disconnect button? Make sure they have a good charge and disconnect the cables and leave them or pull them all together and keep them at home with me? Thank you in Advance for your help!Re: I messed up my floorThe slide is not a flat-floor design. It rides in and out on 2 frame rails.I messed up my floorI have a 1997 Winnebago Chieftain. We decided to replace the carpet and old linoleum with new self stick tiles. The removal went well and putting the new tiles worked great and we are very happy with the results. Now... This is where I messed up. When cutting out the old carpet and linoleum from under the slide. I put the slide (kitchen and sofa) all the way out and cut the old flooring. So, as you can assume, now when I run the slide the stuff under the slide is catching, bunching up, etc. With the slide all the way out I can see a couple of parts sticking out the exterior between the bottom of the floor of the slide and the top of the basement storage (I can't reach to cut it off). But, I know that there is more still under the slide flooring. Please, please tell me that this is something that can be fixed without costing me millions. Sorry for the long post and thank you in advance for any help you can give. What are these?I am looking to pull the carpet out of my 1997 Winnebago Chieftian. I am not sure what these plastic washer and screws are for. There seems to be a small drop off in the carpet about this same place. (almost like there isn't any padding. I just don't want to open a 'can of worms'. Thank you in advance! What are these?I am looking to pull the carpet out of my 1997 Winnebago Chieftian. We live in Minnesota and it will be stored in our driveway. The question is... Can I leave it plugged in for the winter and leave the batteries in it. My thought is that it will trickle charge thru the winter so I don't have to worry about the batteries freezing.? Thank you in AdvanceCreeping slideMy 1997 Winnebago Chieftain has one living room slide. Even when I have the 2 floor latches locked the slide will move out an inch or two. Thoughts on fixing this?
